Internship Opportunity in Global Markets Department, HSBC

Global Markets in China

The HSBC Group’s Global Markets business ranks among the largest in the world. Operating through over 86 treasury sites in more than 56 countries and territories, with more than 3,600 dealing and support staff, the business combines sophisticated global coverage and detailed knowledge of local markets.

In mainland China, HSBC’s Global Markets team provides a wide range of products and services in foreign exchange, FX derivatives, fixed income and Money Market products to a wide range of customers, from local and international corporate to mainland Chinese government bodies.
Duties:
The main responsibility for the intern is to assist the sales team. Including:

-Assist in completion of foreign currency and interest rate related deals;

-Provide indicative reviews on market trend for clients;

-In charge of collecting monthly performance records from branches and making summary report;

-Other tasks upon request.

Requirements:

- Students who are pursuing their master degree in Shanghai and will graduate in 2011 or 2012;

- Major in Finance or Economics will be a plus, if have related intern experience in banking area will be as priority to consider;

- Good command of spoken and written English;

- Good communication skills;

- At least 4-5 days/week available, until graduate.
